Come join us for a fun and informative class on making your own window and bed treatments. Dress up your home, or earn money working with your own clients or designers. The class meets on Tuesday nights for nine weeks. Sessions start in the Spring and the Fall.

You will learn how to make pleated draperies, shirred on rod draperies, cornice boards, sheers, Roman shades, balloon shades, board and pole swag treatments, bed coverlets, dust skirts, shams, shower curtains, several valances and tie backs. Two projects (a small pleated drapery and a sheer) are required and all sewing is done at your home - no need to bring a sewing machine to class! You will be taught how to measure a window or bed, how to figure yardage, where to install a treatment, what types of fabrics to choose, and every step in actually making the item from beginning to end. We will discuss the supplies and equipment that you will need to make these projects easy.

I have been teaching this class for 26 years - the first 18 years at Watkins College of Art and Design and the last eight years from my own workroom. The classes are kept small for individualized attention and FUN. You will make new friends and have a chance to share your ideas with others and benefit from their ideas!
